This cosy chalet for four has been cleverly created from a former farm building just minutes from the slopes in the peaceful Gotty area of La Clusaz. It's rare to find a detached chalet for four people, especially one as well-planned as this, with its own terrace and garden.
It's an easy walk to the Piste de l'Envers, just 350 away, and the ski bus stops just outside the chalet, giving you easy access to the 220 km of pistes in the Aravis ski area.
In the summer, there are fabulous walks from your doorstep, and the centre of La Clusaz is just a walk or cycle away (1.5km). There you'll find a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing.
Groups of up to 24 people can book this chalet with the neighbouring apartments, Chalet Backflip and Chalet Frontflip, both of which sleep 10 people.
About the property ...
This delightful chalet sleeps four people in two bedrooms, with a shared bathroom.
On the ground floor, a small hall takes you straight into the open-plan seating area, with a well-equipped kitchen on one side, a seating area with a sofa and stools facing the TV, and a folding dining table. A side door leads onto the sunny terrace, which is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee.
There's a double bedroom on the lower ground floor with plenty of cleverly-designed storage. A stylish shower room is off this bedroom with a sink unit and WC.
The second bedroom is a twin room under the eaves. Accessed by ladder-style steps, there are two single beds and a play net between the bed and the window, overlooking the living room below. Although this room is not suitable for young children, older children will love this hammock-style area, where they can curl up with a book or look out onto the mountains.
A wooden outbuilding in the garden has been converted into a ski room with a heated boot rack. There's also room to store outdoor equipment and bikes.
There is plenty of parking outside the property, in a car park which is shared with two neighbouring chalets.

La Clusaz is an authentic mountain village which blends tradition with up-to-date facilities. Its traditional chalets and lively streets offer a vibrant setting with Savoyard charm. Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.
In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. The region also offers a variety of winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sledging, snow biking, ice diving and ice skating.
During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. A small, comfortable chalet, clean and modern inside while preserving its traditional exterior. The location is relatively close to the town, so we could easily walk to La Clusaz if we wanted to. We felt at home despite the proximity of other properties.

Chalet Sideflip is a detached, compact chalet for four, with two bedrooms, a shower room, a cosy seating area and a well-equipped kitchen. It also has a furnished terrace, where you can enjoy the sunshine and the wonderful views, as well as two balconies.
Conveniently located just a short walk from the slopes, and with the bus stopping just outside the chalet, you won't need your car when you stay at Chalet Sideflip, but if you are driving to La Clusaz there are parking spaces in a shared car park.
Behind the chalet, you'll find a useful storage building, with a heated boot rack for ski boots and room to store your bikes or skis.
The main bedroom on the lower ground floor is a double room with plenty of storage and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom, which is accessed by ladder-style steps has two single beds under the eaves - older children will love the hammock-style play area which overlooks the living room downstairs, but this room is not suitable for young children.
Chalet Sideflip may be small, but it packs a huge punch, with all the facilities you'd expect from a larger chalet. It's the perfect choice for a family with older children, who will love the twin bedroom, the play net and the garden.
